Day 09 - Olympic Sport You Love
On your marks! Get set! BANG!
The start of the U14 backstroke at the St Andrew’s College inter-house finals.
ugh it actually eats your suits? pools like that irritate me honestly why would they keep the chemicals like that, surely they’d realise that level is bad for suits and change it!!??! i would generally say to look for suits with a guaranteed 100% chlorine proof, but does anyone know of any good suits?
I only wear Speedo Endurances. I swear by them. I’ve had the same three suits for four years and I’ve hardly ever even washed/rinsed them. I don’t know about chemicals, but they don’t stretch or fade like any of my other suits. They’re more expensive but it’s like an investment.
15 Signs You’re a Recovering Swimmer
Recently we went down a rabbit hole reading Mike Gustafson’s Twitter feed, a brilliant homage to competitive swimming. It stirred up some nostalgia for the 25% of us (i.e., Caroline and Kerry) who are former competitive swimmers. While we’re so grateful for life lessons learned in the pool—about the power of discipline, dedication, and drag suits—we’re also glad that we’ve since discovered ways to exercise that allow us to sleep past 3:55am.
